"My Nordic Ski Walking poles have been a terrific addition to my regular exercise program. I love the way they incorporate my upper body during a walk, thus giving me more strength-training and calorie burning for the time spent. I highly recommend them to everyone!"

“I've gotten several of the physical therapists at my hospital hooked. ( I am a pediatrician and the medical director of a Women's Wellness program) My mother has severe osteoarthitis and osteoporosis and is recovering from a hip fracture. I just ordered her a set for Christmas. This is a great idea for people with arthitis, osteoporosis, and balance problems.” Dr Schumann
“Nordic Walking is the perfect lunchtime workout because it works the whole body and leaves you feeling energised and refreshed. It works more muscles than jogging or swimming and yet does not leave you looking red, sweaty or damp! A simple pair of poles and the right tuition can literally turn a walk into a workout similar to the crosstrainer in the gym but at a fraction of the cost. All you need to change are your shoes and then you can join your colleagues for an effective, sociable and fun way to get in shape…fast!” Workplace Challenge Programme
Nordic Walking Testimonials
According to Gail Dechman, an assistant professor in the school of physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in Halifax, research consistently shows that, compared to standard walking, Nordic walking feels less stressful to the body.
“I embarked on the 4-day Nordic Walking course to see whether it would be a suitable way for me to get fitter and stronger. It appealed particularly as it is a group activity, and would get me into the fresh air. Even after the four days I am feeling the benefits and looking forward to the organised walks.
Lynn is a brilliant instructor, giving clear guidance, followed by individual advice on technique. Her sunny, encouraging and positive attitude inspires confidence.” Yvonne
“I really enjoyed my one to one Nordic Walking session, although I have done a fair bit of hill walking and trekking this was my first experience of Nordic Walking.
Although initially I struggled to grasp the correct poling and foot placement technique, Lynn’s careful correction and encouragement spurred me on and after a short while I was able to get the hang of it and could then maintain a good steady pace. We covered a variety of routes, passing over different terrains and again Lynn was able to show how to cover the ground safely, whilst respecting the countryside and its users.
Lynn’s experience as a coach was also useful, she explained how by focusing on my body movement and by paying attention to my rhythm and breathing, I could calm my mind and start to really take in everything that was going on around me – amazing! What you start to notice when you really take time to look properly.
Our extended session lasted for a good couple of hours and the time went so quickly. I was amazed to see the distance we had covered in that time, the poles really do make a big difference. Lynn finished the session with a thorough cool down and stretch-out and that left me feeling well exercised, energised and happy.
Great Nordic Walking Intro – thanks Lynn.” Jack
“I decided to try Nordic Walking as it was something different - very beneficial for the body and good to be out in the fresh air. Lynn took a group of us on our first walk after completing the introductory lessons, and apart from the weather being so good and the friendly people, it was a really enjoyable morning. My Nordic Walking technique is improving, and I recommend giving it a go! I’m looking forward to the next walk.” Debbie
